Finally....

This past week has been so crazy. My uncle died on Monday. My mom and I found him dead in his apartment. He was like a father to me, so this has been so unreal. I don't think it has sunk in yet that he ins't going to be there anymore. I thought about cancelling my deployment to stay and be with my mom during this time, but she said my uncle would want me to go. She is doing much better than I thought she would be. So, I am going ahead with my deployment.

I have quit work and am now just finishing up the last final bit of crap to be done before I leave. This past Sunday, I took my rate exam...what a joke!! I haven't worked in my rate in over 9 years and they are probably going to bust me down to an E-3 for how crappy I did on my exam. Oh well. My chain of command made me stay around the entire day to get my exit eval done and signed before I left. So, with that being said.....I have finally checked out of my NOSC for Active Duty!!! wooohoooooo!! (doing the happy dance now) I went to Wal-Mart today and dropped $250 on crap. Hey, I'm a girl...I have to make sure I have all of my beauty essentials for the war zone. Sheesh what do you think this is a war-fighting effort or something?

Anyhow, I digress. Sorry this post is so lame. I'm just not really in the writing mood. My mind is all over the place this week. Enjoy the new getting-ready-for-depolyment tunes!
